Overview
After receiving an almost redesign last year, the MR2 Spyder returns for 2004 with only minor changes. This sporty two-door convertible features a 138-hp 1.8L engine and either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed sequential manual transmission (SMT). New for this year is the optional limited slip differential, available on both models. Leather seating and interior trim can also be equipped optionally, featuring black, red, or tan interior choices. New post-production options (PPO's) for this year include an emergency assistance kit and titanium and chrome shift knobs. Other available PPO's include alloy wheel locks, carpeted floor mats, a security system, and interior simulated wood trim on the dashboard.
