Overview
The Porsche Boxster returns for the 1998 model year with minimal changes to the interior and exterior. New for this year, the Boxster will be available with an optional child seat which automatically deactivate the passenger airbag. Side airbags are also standard equipment. The Boxster also features many luxury amenities along with other sport-tuned equipment. Standard features include partial leather bucket seats, automatic climate control, a leather steering wheel, power windows, central locking, integrated fog lights and a power folding top. Several packages are optional including three Sport Packages, a Non-Smoker Package and two Leather Interior Trim Packages. A five-speed Tiptronic S dual-function transmission is optional.
