Overview

The 2006 CL Class is available in four trims: CL500, 55 AMG, 600 and 65 AMG. New for this year is the addition of the AMG Sport Package as a standard feature on the CL500 and CL600. The CL500 features a 302-hp engine, driver adaptive seven-speed automatic transmission, and Active Body Control suspension. The CL55 upgrades this with an AMG enhanced five-speed automatic, a 493-hp engine, race inspired brakes, and a polished exhaust. The CL600 comes with a twin turbo V12 engine and multi-contoured front seats with Nappa Leather. New, and now standard on the CL600, are features such as Keyless Go, a heated steering wheel, and electronic trunk closer. The top of the line CL65 AMG has a standard 604-hp 36-valve V12 engine, 19-inch wheels, and four polished exhaust tips.
