Overview
For 2005, Mercedes-Benz introduces its most powerful SL yet in the SL65 AMG. This sports convertible boasts a 604-hp twin turbo V12 engine mounted to an AMG SpeedShift five-speed automatic transmission. Other AMG upgrades include performance brakes, 19-inch premium wheels, and four polished exhaust tips. Returning SL-Class trims include the SL500, SL600, and SL55 AMG. Standard luxury amenities on these roadsters include heated power seats, dual-zone climate control, a navigation system, leather-seating surfaces, and a Bose sound system with a six-disc CD changer. Several unique options are also offered, including Keyless Go, the Parktronic parking assistance aid, adaptive cruise control, and a voice activated mobile phone.
