Overview
The 2000 SL introduced the new Designo Edition which is available in Slate Blue and Black Diamond. The Black Diamond Edition comes with Red and Black leather seats and Black Carbon Fiber trim. The Slate Blue Edition features Dark Blue and Black leather seats with Maple Charcoal Wood trim. The new TeleAid system, standard on both SL models, provides convenience and emergency services through a special cellular connection. A Star TAC digital telephone voice recognition is standard equipment on the SL600. The Sport Package option includes 18-inch alloy wheels, performance low-profile tires and aerodynamic enhancements. The maintenance program is now free of charge for the entire warranty period.
