The 1998 E-Class is available in six models: the E300 Turbodiesel sedan, the E320 sedan and wagon 2WD or AWD and the E430 sedan. All models feature an 8-speaker Bose premium sound system (standard on E430), the Homelink Universal Transmitter and 10-way power front seats with three position memory as optional equipment. Additional options include an electric rear-window sunshade (sedans only), heated front seats and orthopedic front seats. Standard exterior features include a heated rear window and a rain sensor that automatically adjusts wiper speed based on rainfall on windshield. The Parktronic audio-visual parking assistance system, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Xenon High Intensity headlamps are available on all models.
