Overview

The 1997 SL convertible roadsters are available in three models - SL320, SL500 and the SL600. A new option offered is the Panorama removable hardtop made of heat-reflecting tinted glass for complete outside viewing. This top can be fitted to SL models back through 1992. A limited availability Sport Package includes the Mercedes Benz AMG design, and an upgrade from 16 to 18 inch rims with two front /rear tire sizes. The new standard infrared remote keyless entry system is designed to deter thieves who use radio code stealing devices, since the infrared uses light instead of radio.
