Overview

The 1996 Mercedes Benz SL is available in two models -- SL320 and SL500 Roadster convertibles. For 1996, both models include an infrared keyless-remote entry system that changes access codes whenever it is used. Also new is the optional Xenon high intensity discharge headlamps and Electronic Stablity Progam (ESP). Standard safety features include side door air bags, traction control and an automatic pop-up roll bar which can be raised and lowered remotely. Standard interior features include leather seating with burled walnut trim, Bose sound system, locking storage compartments and three-postion memory seating which also adjusts steering wheel position and outside mirror angles. A cellular telephone and heated seats are optional.
