Overview
The all-new 2003 MAZDASPEED Protege is the first vehicle in North America to feature the MAZDASPEED name on a street legal vehicle. This performance oriented sedan features several modifications over the current Protege. It features a turbocharged 170 hp 2.0L 4-cylinder engine coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. It is also equipped with 17-inch custom Racing Hart wheels and aggressive exterior styling. The interior features silver mesh upholstery inserts, aluminum Sparco foot pedals and shift knob, a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, and a premium Kenwood MP3 sound system. The MAZDAPSEED Protege is only available in Spicy Orange and Black Mica exterior colors. Production has been limited to 1,750 vehicles.
