Overview

The ES 300 is completely redesigned for 2002. It has a longer wheelbase and an increased height compared with its predecessor. The Supplemental Restraint System now includes side curtain air bags. Also, a new five-speed automatic transmission is now standard. In addition, a new electronic throttle (drive by wire) enhances the powertrain response and environmental compatibility. Additional standard amenities include a power moonroof, a Homelink garage door opener, a multifunctional trip computer and dual-zone automatic climate control with an air filtration. Adaptive Variable Suspension and a power rear sunshade are optional. The fuel economy has been improved to 21mpg city and 29mpg on the highway.
