Overview

The GS sedan begins this model year with a full list of standard features. Some of these features include daytime running lights, next-generation depowered air bags and a five-speed automatic electronically controlled transmission with intelligence (ECT-I). The transmission on the GS 400 features manual upshift and downshift buttons on the steering wheel. New for this year, the engines come standard with California Emissions. A new Premium Package has been added this year. Some of the upgraded items in this package include leather seats, six-disc CD player, electrochromic outside mirrors and high intensity discharge headlamps.
