Overview

For 1998, the Trooper sport utility is only available in the S (Base) model. This model is available with two optional upgrade packages which are the Performance Package and the Luxury Package. Some of the features the Performance package comes equipped with are leather steering wheel, Limited Slip Differential and a Torque On Demand 4WD System. A few of the features included with the Luxury Package are front fog lights, power moonroof, leather seats, Two-tone exterior paint, dual power seats and compact disc player. New on the Trooper this year is an improved 3.5L 6 cylinder 215 hp engine with 20 more hp over last year. Also, new and standard are cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks and power mirrors.
