Overview

The Honda S2000 Roadster continues into the new model year with several minor changes. Most notable is a removable hard top that will be available by special order beginning in early 2001. Floor mats and an internal emergency trunk release are new standard features. Rounding out the changes are an aero wind screen designed to reduce wind buffeting with the top down, a clock, and a new exterior color, Spa Yellow. The S2000 features a 240-hp, 2.0L engine and maximum horsepower is reached at 8300 rpm and maximum torque of 153 lb-ft at 7500. Four wheel disc, anti-lock brakes are standard, and enhanced handling response is achieved with double wishbone suspension and electric-assist power steering.
