Overview
The S-Type sedan returns with some key refinements as well as the addition of a new sport performance model, the S-Type R. All models receive a redesigned interior and an improved front and rear suspension. The 3.0L V6 model has now been made available with a new five-speed manual transmission. The S-Type V8 model produces 300 horsepower and the new S-Type R features a supercharged V8 producing 400 horsepower. The S-Type V8 and S-Type R are also equipped with a new six-speed automatic transmission. Other sport enhancements to the S-Type R include 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, xenon headlights, a leather interior, and 16-way power seats. A Communication Package and Navigation System are also optional.
