Overview
The all-new MINI Cooper is a modern version of the MINI Cooper of the 1960+s and is available in two models: Base and S. The Base is powered by a 115-hp 1.6L engine, while the S increases the rating to 163-hp. The Base Cooper model features an optional continuously variable automatic transmission containing Steptronic control. In Steptronic mode, a six-stepped semi-automatic function, a sportier driving approach is enabled. For additional safety, the MINI features a total of six front and side airbags, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, cornering brake control, and a tire pressure monitor. A Navigation System, an eight-speaker Harmon Kardon CD system with digital amplifier, and Dynamic Stability Control are available as optional equipment.
