Overview
The Hyundai Tiburon returns this year with substantial changes to the Base model and adds the all new GT V6. The Base is powered by a 2.0L 140-hp four-cylinder engine, while the GT V6 utilizes a 2.7L 181-hp six-cylinder engine. Both models have a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional four-speed Shiftronic manual shift automatic transmission. A six-speed manual transmission is an option on the GT V6. The 2003 models receive a newly designed slightly longer, stiffer chassis featuring front and rear independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. The GT V6 appointments include leather seats, sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a body-colored rear spoiler. Options include anti-lock brakes and a power sunroof.
