Overview
The newly redesigned BMW 7 Series is available in two models: 745i and the long-wheelbase 745Li. The drivetrain consists of a 325-hp 4.4L all-aluminum engine linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. The new transmission features gear ratios that optimize performance at all speeds and has steering wheel-mounted controls. The use of aluminum suspension, brake calipers, and linkage reduces unsprung weight, thus improving ride and handling. An iDrive feature permits extensive electronic control of driving and convenience functions. An optional Ventilated Seat Package has ventilated front seats and heated front and rear seats. Other packages offered include a Convenience Package, a Premium Sound Package, and an Adaptive Ride Package.
