Overview

For 2002, the Honda CR-V returns with a new chassis, a redesigned interior and exterior, and a more powerful engine. Trim levels for 2002 include the LX, LX 4WD, and EX 4WD. The new 2.4L i-VTEC four-cylinder engine produces 160-hp and 162 lb-ft of torque and is able to tow an additional 500 pounds. The CR-V's interior volume has been increased to 139.5, and is capable of accomodating two full-size mountain bikes when the rear seat is folded. EX models upgrades include a new AM/FM stereo with cassette and six-disc CD changer, a power moonroof, and deep tinted glass. Additional refinements for all models include a new interior color, and three new exterior colors: Eternal Blue Pearl, Chianti Red, and Mojave Mist Metallic.
