Overview

For 2002, Volvo's flagship S80 sedan will now be available in three models: 2.9, T-6, and T-6 Executive. The new T-6 Executive adds to the regular T-6 model features such as color-coordinated exterior trim, heated rear seats, a DVD/CD player, color TV tuner, and an additional two inches of rear legroom. All S80's are equipped with a 2.9L in-line six cylinder engine, with the T-6 models adding an intercooler and twin turbochargers to produce an extra 74 horsepower over the base 2.9 model. Standard equipment includes front and side impact airbags, leather upholstery, traction control, power seats with memory adjustment, and power locks with remote keyless entry. Also, this year a power moonroof has become standard on all models.
