Overview
The 2002 S60 introduces a new electronically controlled AWD system on the 2.4T model. This system is fully integrated with the brake and stability systems, STC (Stability Control System) and DSTC (Dynamic Stability Traction Control). STC is standard on 2.4 and DSTC is standard on T5. A five-speed automatic transmission with Geartronic is standard on AWD model. In addition, a sunroof is now standard on 2.4T and T5. Electronic foldable rear headrests are now standard on 2.4 and 2.4T. An emergency trunk release is also a new standard safety feature for the sedans. An interior switch, which turns off a diagnostic system that detects evaporation of fuel vapor, will be added to help mitigate false readings of check engine lights.
