Overview

The 2002 626 is now available in three models: LX, LX-V6 and ES-V6. Both the base model package and option line-up have been simplified. The four-cylinder engine ES model was discontinued, as well as the corresponding 1ES Luxury Package. The LX-V6 is now offered as a base unit only without package availability. The ES-V6 now adds the Premium Package, which contains a Bose audio system and moonroof. Two new exterior colors are offered, Desert Metallic and Evergreen Mica. Side airbags were discontinued as a stand-alone option and instead are available with the optional Anti-Lock Brake System. The Luxury Package amenities include 15-inch alloy wheels, a power moonroof,a six-way power driver seat, floor mats, and a security alarm.
