Overview
For 2002, Kia has expanded the the Rio line-up with the introduction of the Rio Cinco, an all-new four-door wagon. Based on the same chassis as the Rio sedan, the Cinco wagon also receives the same standard powertrain: a 1.5L 96-hp engine coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. A four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission is available on both models at extra cost. Additional stand-alone options on the Rio include air conditioning, power door locks, alloy wheels, anti-lock brakes, and an AM/FM CD stereo. The optional Upgrade Package equips the Rio with power steering, tilt steering wheel, a tachometer, and visor vanity mirrors. This package is standard on the Rio Cinco Wagon.
