Overview

The Nissan Maxima is available in three models: GLX, SE, and GLE. The Maxima returns for 2002 with a redesigned front grille and fascia, a larger air intake, and rear taillights with clear lenses. In addition, all models now feature high intensity xenon headlights, an air filtration system, and a Navigation system. The 3.0L engine has been replaced with a more powerful 3.5L engine that generates 255 horsepower. For added safety, Brake Assist and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) are standard on all models. The SE model features unique titanium-faced gauges, wider tires, and a six-speed manual transmission that will be available later this year. New exterior colors for 2002 include Tungsten Blue, Glacier Pearl, and Majestic Blue.
