Overview

The Taurus continues into 2002 with a host of changes. Package contents have been revised with value-added regional packages offering popular features at no charge. LX and SE models now feature a standard six-passenger seating package with a center front flip/fold seat with console. A new Luxury and Convenience package, available on SES and SEL models, includes an automatic-dimming rearview mirror, compass, and heated side-view mirrors. Four new colors debut this year: Matador Red, Medium True Blue, Arizona Beige, and Dark Shadow Grey. Floor mats are standard on all models, and Security Approach Lamps are now standard on SE, SES, and SEL models. A four-wheel anti-lock braking system is standard on all Tauruses except LX and SE sedans.
