Overview
The Tahoe continues into model year 2002 with many key enhancements. Most noteworthy is the elimination of the base model Tahoes. The standard trim is now the LS version, with Z71 and LT as available upgrades. As a result of this revision, many features previously optional are now standard equipment. Among these are self-dimming mirrors, the HomeLink universal transmitter, and dual six-way power seats. Front and rear heating and air conditioning are also standard, as well as an AM/FM stereo with CD player and nine speakers including a subwoofer. Z71 models upgrade the Tahoe with features such as off-road suspension, on-off road tires, a Trailering Package, and a unique color-keyed exterior appearance.
