Overview

For 2002, the Expedition has returned with minor changes, including new feature packaging and the deletion of some exterior color choices. Based on the F-150 chassis, the Expedition is powered by either a 4.6L or a 5.4L V-8 engine coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission. Two trims are available, XLT and Eddie Bauer. Both trims are available with either 2WD or 4WD. All Expeditions are equipped with tinted rear glass, power windows and locks, adjustable pedals, remote keyless entry, and power driver's seat. The Eddie Bauer models add chrome wheels, illuminated running boards, a six-disc CD changer, and leather seating with first-row captain's chairs. This year, the rear seat entertainment system is available on all models.
