The Corvette returns for this model year with no major changes and is available in three models: Coupe, Convertible, and ZO6 Coupe. All models now feature a standard compact disc player and the new exterior color Electron Blue. Handling packages include Selective Real Time Damping for added control and comfort, or the Performance Handling Package, which includes stiffer springs, stabilizer bars, and a power steering cooler. In addition, both the Active Handling system and traction control improve vehicle stability. Special options include a heads-up display, the Memory Package and the Roof Package, which features removable roof panels in either body color or translucent blue. For 2002, the magnesium wheel option has been discontinued.
