Overview

GMC added a Base model to the Sierra K3500 Extended Cab, which is also includes the SL, SLE, and SLT. Air conditioning and the handling/trailering suspension are now standard on all models. New standard features on the SL model include chrome steel wheels and an AM/FM stereo with CD. The SLE now offers deep tinted glass and an automatic day/night rearview mirror. The SLT adds front fog lights, leather seating, and OnStar. An optional Cold Weather Group is available on the SLE and SLT models. Additional options include a limited slip differential, skid plates, Heavy Duty Trailering Equipment, and a Duramax 6.6L V-8 turbo diesel engine. The Duramax engine generates 300 horsepower and includes an engine heater and a high capacity air cleaner.
