Overview

The 2002 3.5RL now delivers a significant 225 horsepower and 231 lbs.-ft of torque (compared with 210 horsepower and 224 lbs.-ft from last years model), revised double wishbone suspension and the OnStar System. The 2002 RL is classified as a Low Emission Vehicle (LEV). The new Sport Suspension is enhanced with firmer springs and low profile tires. New insulation material under the hood, in the engine compartment, and under the dashboard was implemented to reduce interior noise. Security is enhanced with the addition of the OnStar communication system that provides emergency roadside assistance. The RL exterior has minor enhancements including new body colored lower side sills, splash guards and roof molding.
