Overview
For the 2001 model year, the Viper returns with few changes. Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are now standard. The Viper is available in two models: RT/10 roadster and GTS coupe. Both models feature a 450-hp V-10 engine, coupled to a six-speed overdrive manual transmission. Standard features include air conditioning, fog lamps, adjustable pedals, a child seat tether anchor, a premium Alpine sound system, and keyless remote entry with alarm. The optional ACR Group (GTS only) features a low restriction air cleaner and dynamic suspension. Other options include a tonneau cover and hard top for the RT/10, and a Comfort Group for the GTS. Connolly leather bucket seats are also available on both models.
