Overview

The Audi S8 is a new addition to the Audi line for 2001. This performance oriented sedan is based on Audi's flagship A8 model. The S8 is powered by a 4.2L 360-hp V-8 engine. Power is transferred to the road through Audi's Quattro IV permanent all-wheel drive system. Performance enhancing features include four-wheel disc brakes, 18-inch aluminum wheels and performance tires, and a sport tuned suspension. Standard safety features include dual front and side impact airbags, side-curtain airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, and child safety seat anchors. Optional upgrade packages provide the S8 with features such as heated rear seats, alcantara and leather interior trim, power window shades, and Audi's CD-based navigation system.
