Overview

For 2001, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class is available in three models: ML320, ML430, and ML55 AMG. Revisions for this year include the addition of the TeleAid vehicle assistance and locator, dual stage driver and front passenger airbags, additional overhead interior light switch, and a downhill traction system is added to low range 4wd mode. Also new, Xenon headlights are available on all models, and the new Cognac and Mystic Green designo Editions are introduced which include 2-tone leather and Natural Poplar Wood interior trim. The performance oriented ML55 AMG continues with a 342-hp 5.4 liter V8 engine, lowered and tuned suspension, and 18-inch AMG alloy wheels with matching 285/50WR-18 performance tires.
