Intellichoice Review
The 4Runner arrives this year offering two trim lines, SR5 and Limited, each available in 2WD and 4WD. A 183-hp V-6 engine coupled with an automatic transmission is standard on all models. A new HomeLink universal transmitter is standard on Limited models, while a new premium 3-in-1 stereo with a six-disc CD changer is optional. Standard safety features include a four-wheel anti-lock brake system with Brake Assist. This system activates full braking power when the driver applies a quick, hard push to the brake pedal. A Vehicle Skid Control system uses individual brake and throttle control to counteract vehicle skidding and spinning, while a TRAC traction control system, in both 2WD and 4WD models, helps keep full traction while accelerating.
