The Saab 9-3 line returns this year with minor changes. It is again available in two trim lines: Base and SE. The 9-3 may be ordered as a two-door hatchback, four-door hatchback, or convertible. However, the base convertible has been dropped this year and replaced by the SE model at a lower price. The base models come equipped with a 185-hp four-cylinder turbo engine, while the SE adds a higher output turbocharger that produces an additional 20 horsepower. All 9-3's include standard safety features such as four-wheel anti-lock brakes, front and side impact airbags, and energy absorbing crumple zones. Saab's Traction Control System and the next generation OnStar System have now become standard equipment on all models.
