Overview
New for 2001, the Prelude now includes child safety seat tether anchors for the rear seats. In addition, emergency trunk openers are standard on all Preludes. Both Electron and Satin Silver are new exterior colors for 2001. The optional Sequential SportShift automatic transmission combines the performance of a manual transmission with the convenience of an automatic. Standard equipment on all Prelude models include four-wheel disc brakes with an anti-locking braking system (ABS), a remote keyless entry system, cruise control, and power windows, mirrors and door locks. The Active Torque Transfer System (ATTS), traction control, and a leather shift knob are standard feature upgrades on the SH model.
