Overview
For 2001, Honda introduces the restyled and improved seventh-generation Civic four-Door. The Civic four-Door is now available in four models: DX, LX, EX, and GX. The recently added GX is a natural gas-powered vehicle. The new 1.7L engine has more horsepower and torque, as well as improved fuel economy. Although the exterior length is decreased for this year, both the interior passenger and cargo capacities are larger. Standard equipment includes a new MacPherson strut front suspension, child seat anchors and dual-stage front airbags. LX upgrades include air conditioning, cruise control and power windows, mirrors and door locks. The EX model adds a VTEC engine, ABS brakes, a moonroof, 15-inch wheels and tires, and remote keyless entry.
