Overview

The Tacoma returns for the 2001 model year with several revisions to the interior and exterior. It is available in a Regular Cab, XTRACAB or Double Cab bodystyle. The 4WD Double Cab and 2WD XTRACAB S-Runner are new additions to the Tacoma line-up. They are both equipped with a 3.4L V-6 engine. The S-Runner also includes a tuned exhaust, performance-tuned suspension, alloy wheels, white-faced gauges, and a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. A TRD supercharger and the TRD Ground Effects Package are available as dealer options on this model. Other options include anti-lock brakes, daytime running lights, air conditioning, and cruise control. The Stepside Package, Enhancement Package, and a sliding rear window are also available.
