For the 2001 model year, Lexus introduces the all-new LS 430, which replaces the LS 400 from last year. The LS 430 is equipped with many standard luxury amenities. It features higher grades of leather and wood, an advanced automatic climate control system, a 6-disc in-dash CD changer, and a fully adjustable power driver seat. The LS 430 is powered by a 4.3L V-8 engine, which generates 290 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. It features Variable Valve Timing (VVT-i) technology and is coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. Options include the parking assist system, a power moonroof, power rear sunshade, rear seat heat and massage, a voice-activated phone, and a DVD-ROM based navigation system.
