Overview

The Sonata returns for the 2001 model year with minimal changes to the interior and exterior. It is available in two models: Base and GLS. New for this year is the addition of leather seats as an option. Other options include three option packages,a rear spoiler, a keyless remote entry system, and a sunroof wind deflector. Air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo with CD, cruise control, and power windows and door locks are standard equipment. GLS models are available with four-wheel ABS brakes with traction control for added driver stability.
