Overview

The 2001 Altima is available in four models: XE, GXE, SE, and GLE sedans. The Altima continues with few changes from last year+s newly redesigned models. Some paint colors have been revised, and the GXE Appearance and Convenience Package has been discontinued. The new GXE Limited Edition Package is introduced which includes a remote keyless entry system, vehicle security system, floor mats, and an 8-way power driver seat. A 6-disc in-dash compact disc changer is now standard on the SE and optional on the GXE. All models are standard equipped with power windows, dual power mirrors, tilt-steering column, rear defroster, and an in-glass radio antenna. Options include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, power glass sunroof and front side air bags.
