Overview
The Volvo S40 returns for this year with some key enhancements. Inflatable Curtains (IC) have been added to the Volvo Side Impact Protection System (SIPS). These sensor-activated curtains are designed to protect the head upon impact during side collisions. Another added safety feature is the ISO-FIX baby/child seat attachment system, which can be grouped with the optional child seats. Both driver and passenger sides are equipped with the new dual stage airbag system that deploys at different levels depending on the severity of the crash. The S40 is now available in the Sport Edition model which combines popular features such as a power sunroof, sport seats, 10-spoke alloy wheels, and front and rear spoilers.
