Overview
For 2001 the Tribute arrives as a new addition to the Mazda line-up. It is available in four models: DX, DX V6, LX V6 and ES V6. The 3.0L DOHC V6 engine boasts 200 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. The Tribute offers a fully independent suspension and rack and pinion steering. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, an automatic transmission (V6 models only), power door locks and windows, a roof rack, and an 80-watt AM/FM Stereo with CD player. A Premium Audio Package is available on the LX V6 and ES V6. It includes an AM/FM cassette stereo with 6-disc in-dash CD changer. Concerning safety, the Tribute includes child safety locks and a child seat tether anchor as standard equipment. However, anti-lock brakes with side impact airbags are extra-cost options.
