Overview

The F150 Regular Cab line-up has dropped the Work Truck Series as a separate model and replaced it with the optional Work Truck Group (which deletes certain content from the XL). New safety equipment includes child seat anchors and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. The optional 4.6L V-8 engine now has 240 horsepower. Sound systems have been upgraded in each trim level and the base radio is now an AM/FM stereo with cassette. A leather-wrapped steering wheel, color-keyed carpeting and floor mats, keyless entry remote, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player are all newly added to the XLT as standard equipment. The SVT Lightning includes a 5.4L supercharged V-8 engine, the Class III trailer tow package, and a six-disc CD changer.
