Overview

Now offered in a single series line-up only, the Escort ZX2 returns for the 2001 model year with minimal changes to the interior and exterior. These changes include the addition of exterior colors Sunray Gold Metallic and Mineral Grey Metallic. Bright Amber, Citrus Gold and Zinc Yellow are no longer available. Also, the ZX2 S/R Package has been discontinued. The Escort ZX2 is equipped with power mirrors, an AM/FM stereo/cassette with premium speakers, and a rear spoiler. Optional equipment includes leather trimmed sport bucket seats, anti-lock brakes, an automatic transmission, 14-inch chrome wheels, and a power sliding moonroof. A Power Group and Comfort Group are also available options.
