Overview

For 2001, the Acura MDX is introduced as an all new sport utility vehicle and is available as a single model. Standard equipment includes the 240-hp all-aluminum VTEC V-6 engine, five-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel independent suspension, and seven-passenger seating. Additional standard features include fully automatic four-wheel drive, 17-inch wheels and tires, a remote keyless entry system, leather seating surfaces, and a power sliding moonroof. The optional Touring Package includes a memory driver seat and mirrors, an eight-way power passenger seat, a roof rack, and an Acura/Bose music system with an in-dash, six-disc CD changer. The Acura Navigation System is also available as an option.
