Overview

The new Audi TT Roadster has been added to the TT Coupe line-up for the 2001 model year. The TT Roadster is available in two drive configurations: either a 180-hp engine with front wheel drive, or a 225-hp engine with the Quattro drivetrain. The TT Roadster Quattro is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and ventilated disc brakes. The TT Roadster's folding soft top includes a heated glass rear window, and an electronic interior monitoring system that prevents intrusion when the roof is lowered. The Roadster+s aluminum rollover bars are an integral component of the body structure, improving rigidity and occupant safety. The TT Roadster and the 225-hp TT Coupe are scheduled for release in May.
