Overview

The Volkswagen GTI 2.0T (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 10/06/2009. The all-new 2010 Volkswagen GTI is available in either two-door or four-door hatchback, and in either manual or automatic transmission. Updates include a restyled exterior and interior and a new electronic limited slip system that Volkswagen has named XDS. The system electronically monitors input from various wheel sensors and, in the event of slippage, transfers extra torque to the wheel or wheels with the most traction. All models are powered by a 2.0L Turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 200 horsepower and 207 ft-lb of torque. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) with Tiptronic controls. Standard on all GTI models is cruise control, air conditioning, 17-inch wheels, sport suspension, and high performance brakes.
