Overview
The Volkswagen Passat Komfort last had a manufacturer update on 01/04/2010. The 2010 Volkswagen Passat is offered for this year in two bodystyles (sedan and wagon) and a single Komfort trim line. Production of the vehicle is scaled back as VW sets for the release of the next generation Passat (orignally rumored for model year 2013 but now may be as early as 2011). All models are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that generates 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. An Ultra Low Emission version of the engine is available in some states. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic controls. Standard features on all models include power amenities, keyless remote entry system, cruise/speed control, and electronic stability control. The Volkswagen Passat Komfort was last redesigned in 2006 and the next major change is expected in 2012.
