Overview
The Volkswagen Tiguan S (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 10/06/2009. All-new in 2009, the 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan compact crossover is a carried over for this year with no major changes. Trims offered this year include S, SE, and SEL (with or without the 4MOTION all-wheel drive). The SE model is only in production until November 2009. All models are powered by a 2.0L Turbo engine boasting 200 horsepower and 207 ft-lb of torque. The Tiguan features second-row seating that can split fold and slide/tilt. Heated leather interior seating is standard on SEL, and the S is the only trim with an available manual transmission. The vehicle also shares a modified platform with the VW Golf and Rabbit. The Volkswagen Tiguan S (Auto) was introduced in 2005 and a redesign is expected in 2011.
