Overview
The Ford Ranger Super Cab XL 2WD 2D last had a manufacturer update on 10/01/2009. The 2010 Ford Ranger is available in a variety of trims, drive, and body configurations, including several trim levels: XL, XLT, and Sport, and two cab choices: Regular and SuperCab in two door or four door configurations. Engine choices on the Ranger include a 143 horsepower 2.3L four-cylinder engine and a 4.0L V-6 engine that generates 207 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. All engines are mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include front and rear anti-lock brakes, dual front airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, and AdvanceTrac with RSC. AdvanceTrac with RSC utilizes a second gyroscopic roll rate sensor to determine the vehicle's body roll angle and roll rate and if the sensor detects a significant roll angle, the system applies additional countermeasures. The Ford Ranger Super Cab XL 2WD 2D was last redesigned in 1998 and is scheduled to be retired in 2011.
